"She was standing tall with a bag loaded with books. She was waiting in line along with her friends. She could hear the noises all around & waited patiently for her call. She felt someone touching and smiled happily.She took out her braille and went along holding hands."

This is a typical situation of a volunteer helping a blind person to learn the lessons.
For such hardworking souls,the least we could do is help them in achieving their target.

Monday was a big day for every Indian- we are the proud owners of the First T20 World cup !
I'm really very happy that I was able to watch this historic event and that too in a jam packed place with 1500 odd people.

Happy Teachers day

Today morning I was looking at the newspaper and felt something familiar with this date Sept 5th .
And then it struck me "Ahh..Teachers day"- a special wonderful day in schools. One day that every teacher enjoys. The day when the students rush for bouquets or small gifts to please their favorite miss!
Hmm miss those days.

Now I remember an incident that happened in my college hostel. NO connection to the post title though.
My great methodological college had something called as study hour, 8-10pm every day during which you are supposed to study(Yes, no kidding).
During one such hour I was in a room which wasn’t my own. This was my pseudo room or rather my room was my pseudo room (confusing huh??)
Whatever but my roommate was using my cot to dump her things, so now you know which was what.

We were around five of us all buried in deep conversation regarding the internal tests.
That was a joke. So jokes apart, what we were we discussing then..??

May be about this senior, whom we thought looked like actor Madhavan & later realized he looked more like a Gorilla & pitied Maddy. Or about this hot pair that was famous or rather infamous for their open fights. Or was it about the professor who used to stand in an odd posture while writing on the board. Or was it simply about the so-called dinner that we had that night.

But the fact was suddenly we felt like super heroines and lifted a cot that was not empty. Actually it had a poor girl sleeping in there & she woke up with a fright. She was not supposed to sleep in the study hour right ?

After doing a good job I said, "Ok girls I'm off to my room" & turned only to be stopped by a huge lady standing with hands on her hips. It was our very own hostel warden blocking the door & she had a wicked smile on her face. She was our physical training instructer as well, so I used all my wits & managed to tell,
"Ma'am we are practicing for the upcoming weightlifting competition..dont we rock?”

Alas, I really wish I had told that for I don’t remember what I really blurted out then.

I had gone to a mall with my cousins, aged 10 & 11. I competed with them in a video game and failed miserably damn!

Last night my fellow flat mates used my hair as a fun tool to make weird hairstyles. I decided to do that on popular demand .Well, it was not that bad after all!

We were watching a popular number from the tamil movie unnale unnale when this girl with a loud voice said,
“Why is she walking in an acute angle?”
I just couldn’t stop laughing. I was also wondering how to walk in right angle.

Yesterday I had sent a mail for a small charity contribution & I’m amazed at people’s response.Good souls still exist. Bless them all !

No,this is not a post on Kumble hitting century. This is a special post dedicated to my blog. Yes my blog posts have hit century !!!

As I look back from my first test post to the latest poll post, I'm amazed at the increase in the run rate.100 posts in 11 months with a maximum number of 22 posts in the month of June & minimum of 1 in January,this blog has travelled a huge path.

Initial silly posts became more responsible(though not always) & entertaining.Depth lacking writings became well formed amateur stories.Dull plain posts became colorful posts with images & videos.Single digit comments became double digits(Thanks to all of you guys)

We read many blogs, but we tend to comment only a few. Why? because we like something there. So what do you like in this blog? The answer is not mandatory , but it might bring a smile on my face

• I simply hate pets. Be it a dog or a cat or a rat.
• I got good compliments(??) for my smile,so I always gave my best smile in photographs, until someone said , "Why are you smiling like this?! its terrifying!" . Now I have stopped showing all my teeth.
• I hate papaya and thats probably one of the very few fruits that I don't like. Yes, I love most of the fruits , no kidding.
• I love bathing; and in a place like Chennai this habit has helped me a lot.
• I like to be frank with people close to me(most of the time) & wish they reciprocate the same (I'm in trouble huh!? )
• I somehow don't like biscuits. Britannia Marie is the only biscuit that I like to eat.People think that I'm crazy!!

I read this news in few newspapers. Though all of them carried the same details , none of them flashed the photographs.
Very curious about this 51 year old granny who could bowl over a 27 year old man & the man ,the son of the very (in)famous, most wanted criminal till date I googled and found these pictures of Mrs Felix-Browne & Omar Osama Bin Laden.
